Your President is Luc MacKay with 2,366 votes (44.40%).

Re-elected President Luc MacKay told Canta it is exciting, to see faith in the UCSA high as ever.

“I’m going to make sure that the position of the UCSA is both stronger and built for resilience,” he said.

“Tonight I’m celebrating, I’m celebrating hard. Tomorrow I’m celebrating even harder.”

To those who voted for him, MacKay said: “Thank you, for both your support and your faith in me.”

To those that didn’t, MacKay told Canta: “I think the other candidates lead very strong campaigns … I don’t think their voices will be swept aside. I’m very committed to capturing those voices.”

“It’s my third time campaigning for the same role, for President, it certainly was tiresome but my friends and family pushed me so hard to achieve what I did,” he said.

In MacKay’s campaign, he promised a 50% increase to the clubs grant, a seperate pool for smaller clubs, stronger “more equity focused” representation, which he said he will do by refocussing the role towards rainbow and disability.

He further said in his campaign he will seek to introduce an online representative to the executive.

McEwen, who followed behind MacKay in the presidential race with 30.59% of the vote told Canta she was proud of the work put into her campaign, and looks foward to what is next.

“My friends, flatmates and coworkers were all so supportive and full of ideas. Thank you to them,” she said.
