Canta is the official student media and magazine of the University of Canterbury. Started back in 1930 we entertain, push the boundaries and report on things that matter to students!

Alongside our website, we have a fortnightly print publication that gets delivered to campus, a TikTok, an Instagram and a radio show running on RDU every Thursday 12-2. We have video and photography presence at most of the events happening on campus, including those run by UC, UCSA and clubs. Plus all of our media is absolutely free so anyone can access our content.

We have an amazing team of 19 made up of paid staff and interns, who are all dedicated to creating insane content for students to eat up. Our office is also located on the ground floor of the Haere-Roa building, we have an open door policy for students to come and chat to us.

At the end of the day, we are fully run by current students, for students. What other media outlet else can say that?
