Cup and Show week is an institution on the Canterbury social calendar and the party's on this year, bigger, brighter and better than ever! So what better excuse is there for the ladies to glam it up and the men to look sharp than at the Cup Day races. Take a break from your strenuous study schedule and come and enjoy the heart pounding excitement of a days harness action at its best, with non stop action on and off the track.
The biggest day on the Canterbury social calendar featuring the best racing, fashion and entertainment on offer over NZ Cup and Show week. The highlight of the day is watching the best harness horses from New Zealand and Australia take centre stage when they compete to win the 2011 Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup. Can Monkey King take home New Zealand Trotting Cup number three?
Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day is the ultimate day to impress so dust off your finest and wow the world! Think sassy yet sophisticated, sexy yet stylish! Cocktail dresses, little black dresses, suits, ties and headwear! Cup Day is about what's on your head, whether it be a fabulous fascinator, feathers, headbands or a striking hat. This isn't restricted to the ladies either, men you can dust off those fedoras too!
The public stand is down and the site is almost cleared.... we are pleased to announce that there will be a temporary stand with approximately 1080 seats located on the site of the Public Stand during Cup Week. We will also have an additional 500 seat temporary stand entirely for the general public on the inside of the Harness Track with its own BIG SCREEN!
There will be some reserved seating available for purchase online

We told you this Cup day is going to be bigger and better than ever.....and it is!! In the place of the old public stand (next to the temporary stand) will be PARTY CENTRAL!!
Marquees full of glitz glam, bars, action, entertainment, food and so much more. Be sure to check out the live bands, excellent food, great atmosphere and great party vibe!
Lindauer Lawn: R18
Located just after the winning post directly in front of the Twiggers Stand, this area offers a great view just past the winning post from the 'top of the stables' with access to the lawn area below. Enjoy live entertainment throughout the day. Cash bar facilities and deli style food are available for purchase within this area. A great 'party' zone for those who want to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.
Lindauer Best Dressed Female, Sergio's Best Dressed Man and The Breeze/Edge Body art competition will be in the Lindauer Fashion Marquee (by entry to the Lindauer Lawn) be sure to check it out....or you can even enter – registration online at www.nzcupweek.co.nz
