Welcome to the University of Canterbury for 2012! Whether you're arriving here to commence your tertiary education or you're a seasoned student, this year looks set to be pretty bloody brilliant... some might say the best yet.

However, regardless of whether you're a fresher or fifth year, Welcome to Orientation!

Having always being world famous in New Zealand for one of the most comprehensive, kick-ass O Weeks, the UCSA was not about to let a lack of bars or finished structures get in their way of putting on an epic line-up – this year we're bringing you thirty-seven events spread over the traditional ten days. Yes, we're facilitating the ten day challenge.

The O Week ten day challenge is notorious for being a UC "must-do""can-do"[and sometimes]"what/why-did-I-do" introduction/reminder about why being a student allows you to live the dream... And this year promises to even exceed expectations. Whatever you're looking for from your O Week experience, we've most likely got it in the pipeline for you – and the best bit is that we will be bringing you experiences that you didn't even know you were missing out on. Except for the jelly wrestling... you probably knew that you were missing out on that.

So get amongst everything and go hard. Just remember that in between the beers, a steak and pepper pie is always a good idea (safer communities together!). Look out for your mates and make sure that you have that Powerade prepped for the morning. Most importantly though, enjoy yourself. These are the good days that you're going to miss in the years ahead!
