How To Not Get Busted With Booze In Your Room

  1. DON’T DRINK

I do not recommend this option. Plus, it’s just not going to happen if you’re serious about your schooling here at UC. We all know the best study is done when booze is involved. Not to mention the severe social downfall of you being a non-drinker. If you are anti-social, this is fine.

  1. USE NON-SEE-THROUGH DRINK BOTTLES

This has been used year in, year out with varying degrees of success. It works well when you are going to drink it all very soon after; if not, you risk your drink going off or flat, depending on what you’re drinking. NB: Nothing is overly good when aired out for a while.

  1. HIDE IT IN ONE PERSON’S ROOM

If you find someone willing who looks and behaves innocently, ie someone not likely to receive a spot check from the RAs, and is willing to be your fall guy, then you may hide it in their room. But you must try them – and help them out if they do get busted for it.

  1. USE SOME OBSCURE PART OF YOUR ROOM

The back of your wardrobe for example, in the suitcase that you brought you whole life in. These places can be useful, but you still have a high risk of getting caught, so it’s not overly recommended.

  1. JUST FOLLOW THE RULES

This is the failsafe way of doing it. Most halls realise students drink and put in place rules for safety more than anything else. So don’t be a tool, follow the rules or go to a house party where you can drink whatever you want. However, CANTA is not your moral guardian, so do what you like.
